These questions could be answered better by the literature or software, but eventually you should figure everything out and enjoy a very customisable setup. In normal day-to-day use, the deviations in both backlight and color temperature uniformity shouldn’t affect your enjoyment of the screen. Only the setup was a slight pain as out the box it was horrible (from a viewing perspective) but I knew this was the case anyway prior to setup so came prepared. The picture mode contains a large option of display output types with different contrast, and color intensities that can be selected according to your current activity.
