Description

In Breath of the Wild, if the Super Smash Brothers Link Amiibo was scanned, the player would receive Epona, Link's Legendary Horse, as a riding companion, and this remains true in Tears of the Kingdom. However, Epona cannot be customized, renamed, tow cargo, or have her stats upgraded. While the Wolf Link Amiibo that came with the special edition of Twilight Princess HD on the Wii U made Wolf Link appear in Breath of the Wild, he does not appear in Tears of the Kingdom Below you'll find the rewards we've earned using compatible Amiibos in Tears of the Kingdom so far: Amiibo As with Breath of the Wild, you can scan amiibo from your ability wheel to gain bonus items — some of which are themed to previous Legend of Zelda games. (If amiibo scanning is disabled for you, you can enable scanning functionality within the Options menu.)

It's important to note that you must attempt to open the Temple of Time for the first time to use Amiibo in Tears of the Kingdom. Assorted Fish (Armored Carp, Mighty Cap, Chillfin Trout, Hyrule Bass, Mighty Porgy, Staminoka Bass) A pose of Chibi Robo imitating Smash Bros Toon Link will be added to the Capsule Machine (requires a Chibi Robo amiibo) Below you'll find all of the Paraglider Fabric we've recieved from Amiibos so far. It's important to note that, to change your Paraglider design, you have to visit the Dye Shop in Hateno Village. Link (Tears of the Kingdom) Credit: Nintendo. | Image credit: Nintendo. We also have BOTW guides to help you with the Tarrey Town Quest, how to get equipment such as the Hylian Shield, the Master Sword, the Green Tunic, and the Radiant Set, plus advice on the Best Clothing And Armour Sets and How To Find Every Item in the Master Trials DLC. We can help you find key places such as All Captured Memory Locations, All Great Fairy Fountain Locations, and Where to find The Lord of the Mountain, too. For example, scanning the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo grants you the chance to themed fabric for your paraglider, or the Fierce Deity set. Beyond that, amiibo often also have a theme running through their respective characters — such as most Link amiibo dropping a type of generic sword, or Zelda amiibo granting minerals, herbs and flowers. Image: Nintendo I'm also disappointed that the once-per-day restriction applies to Epona, since you're not gaining anything new by having the horse summoned repeatedly, assuming it only allows one in the game at a time. I was kind of hoping I could use the amiibo to summon my horse anywhere in the world, rather than the extremely limited whistling they put in the game that is all but useless and makes horses completely impractical to bother with. Train your FP fighter and level it up in offline modes to create a worthy friend or foe. Data is transferable between Wii U and 3DS, but not between Ultimate without losing FP levels and ability to be used on Wii U and 3DS. This is part of our Zelda Breath of the Wild walkthrough, which includes All Shrine Locations And Maps and help with specific shrines, including the Keo Ruug Shrine Puzzle Solution, Mirro Shaz Shrine Puzzle Solution, Sha Warvo Shrine Solution, Shae Loya Shrine Puzzle Solution, Eventide Island - How To Beat The Hardest Shrine Quest, and Shee Vaneer And Shee Venath Shrine Answers and Solutions.

As mentioned in the previous section, Boomerangs are the only projectile Toon Link’s AI manages to use properly. When you’re a fair distance away from your FP, use a Boomerang or two to close the gap. Let’s start with some Spirit recommendations! If you’d like to have your FP participate in Spirits tournaments ( or if you just want to raise a powerful Raid Boss ), then we’ve got a bunch of setups here that work well with Toon Link. If you want to learn more about how Spirits work in this game, be sure to read our full Spirits guide — or just bookmark it for later! Assorted Herbs (Silent Princess, Electric Safflina, Swift Carrot, Mighty Thistle, Blue Nightshade, Hyrule Herb, Fortified Pumpkin, Amoranth, Swift Violet) Fish (Including Staminoka Bass, Chillfin Trout, Sizzlefin Trout, Armored Carp, Armored Porgy and Mighty Carp) Manage cookie settings 10 Things We Wish We Knew Before Starting The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Watch on YouTubeAssorted Meat (Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, Raw Gourmet Meat, Raw Whole Bird, Seared Gourmet Meat, Roasted Whole Bird) There are still some unique items only available by tapping the Zelda series amiibo, though — namely, unique paraglider fabric. You can change your paraglider fabric by heading to the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno, and there are some rather lovely ones too. Epona, Twilight Armor, Mirror of Twilight Fabric, knight's broadsword, soldier's shield (once Epona is registered) Ingredients (Including Hyrule Herb, Swift Carrot, Swift Violet, Electric Safflina and Warm Sadllina) Place the Amiibo scanner circle over a compatible area. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo rewards Once you have enabled Amiibo, go along your abilities menu until you come across the 'Amiibo' selection. With the exception of the two Super Smash Bros. games, Super Mario Maker, and One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X, games that are compatible with Toon Link's amiibo can use Link's amiibo for the exact same function.

Thankfully, with the recent release of Tears of the Kingdom, all those Link and Zelda figures — as well as those of their friends and foes — can once again be leveraged to do much more than express your fandom.

Raid Boss bonuses: For the most part, the bonuses listed above work great on a Raid Boss too! You can also add Move Speed ↑ to the mix in case you want some additional speed. Otherwise, stat-boosting Spirits work just fine. Players can use a variety of both Legend of Zelda themed Amiibo and non-Zelda Amiibo to scan in to perform a variety of features depending on the particular Amiibo. By doing so, it will cause a variety of rewards to appear: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has amiibo support, including previous Zelda amiibo figures and a new version of Link specific to the game. By scanning amiibo, you can get special armor pieces, weapons, and paraglider fabric.
